Delivering remarks following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting, President Erdoğan said: “We will clearly see in the upcoming period the positive reflections of our economic programme on inflation in particular and other areas alike.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a press conference following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Complex.
Voicing his pleasure over the increasing confidence in the Turkish economy among international investors and markets, President Erdoğan noted that Türkiye’s risk premium continues to drop as well, and added: “We will clearly see in the upcoming period the positive reflections of our economic programme on inflation in particular and other areas alike.”
Drawing attention to Türkiye’s first manned space mission, which has successfully ended, President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye’s first-ever astronaut Alper Gezeravcı has returned to Türkiye after completing his duty and other scientific experiments at the International Space Station.
Also expressing his pleasure over Türkiye’s F-16 procurement being finalized positively, President Erdoğan stressed that with the removal of the limitations against Türkiye, the Turkish defense industry will make a quicker progress from now on.
“TÜRKİYE WILL BY NO MEANS ALLOW A ‘TERRORISTISTAN’ TO BE ESTABLISHED ON ITS SOUTHERN BORDERS”
Pointing to Türkiye’s strategy aimed at eliminating terror at its source, President Erdoğan noted that thanks to this strategy Türkiye has confined the separatist terrorist organization in a narrow area, and added: “The main factor that prolongs the life of the separatist organization is the support provided to terrorists by some of our allies and by some groups in Northern Iraq. Türkiye obviously respects Iraq’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. However, we rightfully expect our Iraqi brothers and sisters to not allow the Iraqi lands to be used as a base for terrorist acts against our country. Our Minister of Foreign Affairs, Director of National Intelligence Organization and Minister of National Defense have conveyed our sensitivities about this issue to Iraqi officials. As of summer months, we will have completed our reinforcement in the Operation Claw-Lock zone. Thus, we will have the means to take much more efficient measures in our 40-year-long fight against the separatist terrorist organization.”
“Türkiye will by no means allow a ‘terrorististan’ to be established on its southern borders,” President Erdoğan said.
“NETANYAHU ADMINISTRATION OVERSTEPS YET ANOTHER RED LINE EVERY DAY”
Drawing attention to his consecutive visits to the United Arab Emirates and Egypt respectively, President Erdoğan said that the main item on the agendas of both visits will be Israel’s increasing attacks on Gaza.
President Erdoğan said: “Hitler-wannabe Netanyahu administration oversteps yet another red line every day in its atrocity and massacre policy, which it has been continuing since October 7. This morning they have attacked Rafah, which has been declared as safe zone and where nearly 1.5 million people of Gaza, who were forcibly evicted from the north of Gaza, have taken shelter. During these attacks, whereby civilians have been directly targeted, our over 100 Gazan brothers and sisters have died a martyr’s dead and hundreds of others have been injured.”
Further stressing that the reason for Israel’s recklessness is the hypocritical policy of Western powers, President Erdoğan noted that Western powers turn a blind eye to Netanyahu’s massacres and continue to provide weapons and ammunition under the pretext of Hamas while seemingly calling for calm, and went on to say: “Unfortunately, we see that the Islamic world remains incapable of stopping Israel and of preventing the massacres or the oppression. During our visits to the UAE and Egypt, we will discuss what else we can do for our brothers and sisters in Gaza. We as Türkiye will continue to do our best to stop the bloodshed.”
