Speaking at a meeting with governors, President Erdoğan said: “Steps will be taken towards the full disbandment of the terrorist organization that has declared it has laid down its arms. Thus, we will first accomplish a terror-free Türkiye and then, inshallah, a terror-free region.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the Governors’ Meeting at the Presidential Complex.
“As you know, our National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission, established under the roof of our Parliament, completed its report today,” President Erdoğan said. “With the support of all political party groups, the commission adopted its final report. I would like to take this occasion to thank all the members of parliament who have acted responsibly within the commission since August 5th, especially the esteemed representatives of our People's Alliance. I also express my gratitude, on behalf of my country and my nation, to all the invitees who contributed to the commission with their valuable ideas.”
Congratulating GNAT Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş on his astute, constructive and conciliatory stance, President Erdoğan said: “Our commission has meticulously fulfilled its duty and, with its report drafted on the basis of consensus, has presented a perspective that will accelerate the process. I consider this report, which is essentially a roadmap, a significant achievement. Now, discussions on the legal aspects of the process will begin in our Parliament. Steps will be taken towards the full disbandment of the terrorist organization that has declared it has laid down its arms. Thus, we will first accomplish a terror-free Türkiye, and then, inshallah, a terror-free region in our geography.”
