Speaking at an iftar with deputies, President Erdoğan said: “We are never impartial regarding the matters concerning our region and humanity. We are not impartial regarding the incidents that disturb the peace of our neighbors as well as our brothers and sisters. We are not impartial regarding the issues that threaten the future of the entire world. On the contrary, we as Türkiye side with peace and quiet, tranquility and stability, solidarity and cooperation. We side with universal values, justice and development. We side with the resolution of problems through dialogue and diplomacy. We side with negotiation against conflicts, and peace against war.”

Drawing attention to the critical period the entire world is going through, President Erdoğan noted that the humanity is experiencing an axis shift whereby international organizations and institutions are becoming ineffective, the balance of power is increasingly deteriorating, international agreements are turning into ragbags, international law is put aside to a great extent and traditional diplomacy approach has been left.
Stressing that the global injustice is deepening, and that the world is being dragged into a chaotic period where the law of brute force and the strong prevails, President Erdoğan said that the world is once again witnessing all this with the attacks against Iran, and added that such principles as multilateralism, sovereign equality, and the solution of disagreements through diplomacy, which the United Nations system symbolizes, are ignored by the very founders of this system.
Underscoring that Türkiye’s attitude is clear during such a sensitive conjuncture, where ambiguity, tension, conflict and unlawfulness have each become a norm, President Erdoğan went on to say: “We are never impartial regarding the matters concerning our region and humanity.
