Speaking in the quake-hit Defne district of Hatay, President Erdoğan said: “By rebuilding every collapsed building, we will complete this process in a way that will victimize none of our citizens. With Allah’s permission, we plan to revive Hatay and its districts within a year.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli visited the quake-hit Defne district of Hatay.
Delivering remarks following his inspections in the district, President Erdoğan said: “By rebuilding every collapsed building, we will complete this process in a way that will victimize none of our citizens. With Allah’s permission, we plan to revive Hatay and its districts within a year.”
“We will build 319 thousand residences and village houses, and ensure that our citizens move in to these houses within a year. The number of the houses we will build in Defne alone is 26,261,” President Erdoğan noted.
Later in the day, President Erdoğan visited the Qatar-Türkiye Fraternity Container City in Hatay.
