Speaking at a commemoration for Atatürk, President Erdoğan said: “We maintain our efforts to elevate our country above the level of contemporary civilizations, which was the will of Ghazi Mustafa Kemal, with the spirit of national struggle. It is this very approach with which we have named the second century of our Republic as the Century of Türkiye.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at a commemoration ceremony held at Beştepe Nation’s Convention and Culture Center on the 85th anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s passing to eternity.
Stating that he remembers with grace Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the Commander-in-Chief of the national struggle and the founder of the Republic, on the 85th anniversary of his passing to eternity, President Erdoğan wished Allah’s mercy upon all the martyrs, veterans and heroes, who have for a thousand years sacrificed their lives in order for these lands to be our homeland.
“WE HAVE NAMED THE SECOND CENTURY OF OUR REPUBLIC AS THE CENTURY OF TÜRKİYE”
“May my Lord protect and make victorious our security forces on duty inside and outside our borders,” President Erdoğan noted, and added: “I extend my gratitude to all who work and exert themselves in order for our country to grow bigger, for our state to grow stronger, and for our nation to remain in unity and solidarity.”
Pointing out that with the 29 October Republic Day, which was recently celebrated with great enthusiasm, the first century of the last state on the Anatolian lands was left behind, President Erdoğan said: “We maintain our efforts to elevate our country above the level of contemporary civilizations, which was the will of Ghazi Mustafa Kemal, with the spirit of national struggle. It is this very approach with which we have named the second century of our Republic as the Century of Türkiye.”
“WE WILL SEE THE RISE OF THE CENTURY OF TÜRKİYE”
Underscoring that they have overcome many problems, from the pandemic to the earthquakes, and from regional conflicts to global crises, by mobilizing all their attention, energy and means for the construction of the great and strong Türkiye, President Erdoğan stated that just as they have elevated Türkiye to the strongest level of its history in political, diplomatic, economic and military terms, they will inshallah see all together the rise of the Century of Türkiye as well.
Stressing that the concentrations of power caused by the structures products of colonialism and capitalism lie behind most of the ongoing crises in the world, President Erdoğan noted that Türkiye, as has been the case on every issue, works in order for a reform, which befits the humanity’s ancient legacy, to be implemented on this issue as well.
President Erdoğan added that all the institutions and nongovernmental organizations, from TIKA to the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, from the Yunus Emre Institute to the Maarif Foundation, carry out their works within this perspective.
Stating that the same approach lies behind the decisions to send aid train to the Afghan nation that faced an earthquake disaster, and a civilian aid ship to the people of Gaza over Egypt, President Erdoğan said that Türkiye’s political, economic and military presences beyond its borders are each a different dimension of this blessed vision.
Stressing that Israel’s atrocious attacks on Gaza have once again proven the significance of the struggle they as Türkiye have been putting up and the importance of its immediate success, President Erdoğan noted: “A tragedy, a disaster, a crime against humanity is taking place before the eyes of the entire world.”
“WE WILL SUPPORT TO THE END THE GAZAN PEOPLE’S WILL TO NOT LEAVE THEIR LANDS”
Further stating that those, who usurped the lands the Palestinian people had been living for thousands of years, are seeking to build a state, whose history dates back 75 years at the most and whose legitimacy they have themselves made questionable with their own fascist acts, President Erdoğan went on to say: “Moreover, they are trying our patience with the delusion of a promised land, which includes our country’s territory as well, and with the threat of using nuclear weapons. The days when they, who cannot deal with the innocent children, women and elderly of Palestine despite the technological superiority they have and the unscrupulous tyranny they have been imposing on, will wake up from these futile dreams. The death of tens of thousands of people, from unborn babies to innocent infants, oppressed women and men, will definitely not go unpunished. The oppression inflicted for almost a century on millions of people just for the sake of a ghastly fanaticism will definitely not go unpunished. Each of these oppressors and those, who share the same crime by supporting them, will be definitely tried first in the conscience of the humanity, and then before history.”
President Erdoğan said they as Türkiye will spearhead this issue on all the platforms, and that majority of states and governments in the world are turning a blind eye to the ongoing oppression.
“We will support to the end the Gazan people’s will to not leave their homes and lands. We will not stop telling the truth and correcting mistakes until it is ensured that all the Palestinian people, particularly the Gazans fighting to protect their homeland, lives and dignity, have the safety of lives and properties,” President Erdoğan added.
