Speaking in Ankara, President Erdoğan said: “We haven’t said anything to our nation which we wouldn’t do and we have worked day and night to do everything we have promised to do.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at an event held by associations of citizens in Ankara.
Highlighting the pivotal role Ankara played in the Turkish War of Independence as the home to the Grand National Assembly, President Erdoğan said: “After becoming the capital city of the Republic, this city continued to be a center of attraction both in Anatolia and the world. The heroism Ankara displayed at the night of July 15 has taken its glorious place in our history as an epic victory to be told throughout generations. Now Ankara is preparing to be the emblematic city of the Century of Türkiye.”
“As I underscore at every opportunity, our politics are based on projects and services,” stressed the President, and added: “We have never been engaged in abusive politics. And never have we been engaged in the politics of lies. We haven’t said anything to our nation which we wouldn’t do and we have worked day and night to do everything we have promised to do.”
