“We have never left our tradesmen alone”

Speaking at an iftar dinner with tradesmen and artisans, President Erdoğan said: “As the government, we have never left our tradesmen alone. Through our support packages, incentives, loans, and regulations, we have taken all the necessary steps to support our tradesmen and help them look to the future with confidence.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech during an iftar dinner with tradesmen and artisans in Ankara.

Touching upon the attacks targeting Iran and the ensuing developments, President Erdoğan said: “We will continue our multidimensional diplomacy aimed at making sure there is no more bloodshed in our region, no more innocent people get killed, and the tension doesn’t escalate to an irreversible point. Rest assured that Türkiye will successfully overcome this regional turbulence.”

Drawing attention to the recently announced growth figures in economy, President Erdoğan stated: “Despite the uncertainties in the world and the deepening crises in our region, our economy grew 3.6% in 2025. Our national income increased to $1.6 trillion and our per capita income to $18.4 thousand. Our industry sector reached a five-year high in growth. With these figures, we became the third fastest-growing country among OECD countries in 2025. We rank the fifth among G20 countries. The Turkish economy will gain further momentum as we lower inflation, our biggest headache, to the targeted levels, as we achieve price stability, and as we overcome obstacles.”

Highlighting the important role of tradesmen and artisans in the success of the Turkish economy, President Erdoğan added: “As the government, we have never left our tradesmen alone. Through our support packages, incentives, loans, and regulations, we have taken all the necessary steps to support our tradesmen and help them look to the future with confidence.”
