Speaking at the opening ceremony of Afyonkarahisar-Şuhut Road, President Erdoğan said: “We have invested $200 billion on transportation and communications alone in Türkiye. Thanks to our transportation projects, we have ensured investments, employment, production and exportation in our 81 provinces.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed via videoconference from the Presidential Complex the opening ceremony of Afyonkarahisar-Şuhut Road.
“WE AIM TO ENSURE EASY LAND ACCESS TO EVERY CORNER OF TÜRKİYE”
Highlighting Türkiye’s goal to have 30 thousand kilometer-long divided highway by 2023, President Erdoğan said: “When we came into power, there was merely 6,100 kilometer-long divided highway in our country. In the past 20 years, we have built nearly 23 thousand kilometer-long new road, increasing this number to approximately 29 thousand kilometers. Today, we do not have very few shortcomings in terms of road investments. We are not only building high-caliber divided roads, but also increasing the quality of our other roads. We aim to ensure easy land access to every single corner of Türkiye.”
“THE CENTURY OF TÜRKİYE IS OUR NATIONAL VISION”
“We have invested $200 billion on transportation and communications alone in Türkiye. Thanks to our transportation projects, we have ensured investments, employment, production and exportation in our 81 provinces. We have not only strengthened our physical infrastructure, but also brought together our people’s hearts with these projects. With our investments which cover every single inch of our country without exception from the easternmost point of Türkiye to the westernmost, from the northernmost to the northernmost, we have built the fairest, most just and egalitarian political, economic and social infrastructure in the history of our Republic,” President Erdoğan said.
Describing every achievement of the past 20 years to be an introduction to the Century of Türkiye, President Erdoğan said: “Today, we are getting ready for a new leap forward to make our country one of the greatest political and economic powers in the world upon this infrastructure. We see this leap forward, which we call the Century of Türkiye, as a national vision, not a political one. While the global system is shaken to the core, our country is closer than ever to entering the new century of our Republic with such a leap forward.”
