Speaking at the Turkish Maarif Foundation’s 10th Anniversary Event, President Erdoğan said: “We have improved our education infrastructure over the past 24 years, ensuring equality of opportunities and access to education. We have multiplied our institutional capacity many times over. We have revised the curricula in line with new needs. We have realized green and digital transformation at our schools.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech during the Turkish Maarif Foundation’s 10th Anniversary Event at the Nation’s Library in Ankara.
“The level the Turkish Maarif Foundation has reached over a decade is also a reflection of the historic revolution we have achieved in education during our governments. We have improved our education infrastructure over the past 24 years, ensuring equality of opportunities and access to education. We have multiplied our institutional capacity many times over. We have revised the curricula in line with new needs. We have realized green and digital transformation at our schools. Praise be to Allah, we have begun to reap the fruits of all these efforts. Most recently, according to PISA 2025 results, we have become the country that recorded the largest score increase among the OECD countries across the domains of sciences, mathematics, and reading. Similarly, in higher education, the interest in Turkish universities has grown exponentially. The number of international students in our country, which stood at around 48,000 a decade ago, has neared 380,000 this year. In the countries you are serving, it has already become commonplace to come across with doctors, politicians, businesspeople, bureaucrats, teachers, artists and academics educated in Türkiye. We encounter a large number of people who speak Turkish, know Türkiye and follow the Turkish culture with interest in many counties across the world,” President Erdoğan said.
