Speaking at a joint press conference with President Zelenskyy of Ukraine, President Erdoğan, as regards the Russia-Ukraine war, said: “We have been the country that has exerted the most intensive efforts in order for the war to be terminated through negotiations based on international law.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine held a joint press conference following their tête-à-tête and the meeting between the delegations at Vahdettin Mansion in Istanbul.
Noting that they have since 2014, when Crimea was annexed in a way against international law, expressed on all the platforms their support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence, and said: “We have shown our solidarity with Ukraine through actions as well by means of the aids we have provided in political, economic, humanitarian and technical terms.”
