“We discussed steps to increase Türkiye-Indonesia trade volume to $10 billion”

Holding a joint press conference with Indonesian President Subianto, President Erdoğan said: “We discussed the potential steps to expand the trade volume to the target of 10 billion dollars in a balanced manner, based on mutual benefit. We agreed to launch new initiatives concerning our cooperation in areas extending from defense industry and construction to healthcare, energy, and food industry.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia held a joint press conference following their meeting at the Presidential Complex.

President Erdoğan said: “We discussed the potential steps to expand the trade volume to the target of 10 billion dollars in a balanced manner, based on mutual benefit. We agreed to launch new initiatives concerning our cooperation in areas extending from defense industry and construction to healthcare, energy, and food industry. We reviewed our ongoing projects and new cooperation opportunities, including joint production, in defense industry.”

President Erdoğan stated: “Social contacts and engagements between Türkiye and Indonesia, two important tourism countries, are expanding as well. We are pleased to see that last year 203 thousand tourists from Indonesia visited our country while nearly 50 thousand tourists from our country visited Indonesia. I believe that these figures will exponentially grow as our national flag carriers increase their flights.”
