Speaking during his visit to a container city in Kahramanmaraş, President Erdoğan said: “We are spreading to all our cities the works that will make our country resistant to disasters.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan paid a visit to Baykar Container City in earthquake-hit Kahramanmaraş.
Speaking during the visit, President Erdoğan noted that round-the-clock works for search and rescue, emergency aid, temporary accommodation, debris removal and construction of permanent houses started immediately after the earthquakes.
Pointing out that they have already broken the ground for nearly half of the permanent houses, President Erdoğan stated that some of the newly-built village houses have been delivered today to their owners, and added: “From now on, we will continue in this manner every day, every week and every month. By this time next year, we will hopefully have put 319 thousand residences and village houses at the disposal of our earthquake victims.”
Further stressing that they build not only houses in the earthquake zone, but also new cities with all their workplaces and infrastructures by protecting the historical and cultural fabric, President Erdoğan added: “We will spread to all our cities the works that will make our country resistant to disasters.”
