Speaking after the Presidential Cabinet Meeting, President Erdoğan said: “Turkey is resolutely marching towards its goals with its strong infrastructure, constantly-growing production capacity, qualified labor force, shock-resistant and dynamic economy and with its bold entrepreneur and exporter potential. We are developing our economy on the pillars of investment, employment, production and export.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the nation following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Complex.
“TURKEY IS BECOMING A GLOBAL PRODUCTION AND TRADE BASE”
Stating that every development that occurred in Turkey and the world would better show the significance of the investments introduced in Turkey over the past 19 years, President Erdoğan said: “I once again call on all investors, regardless of their origin, color or faith, to invest in Turkey. Those who invested in our country yesterday are today reaping the fruits of those investments with their growing market shares and increasing incomes. Likewise, those who is investing in Turkey today will acquire same incomes in a very short span of time. From now on, the investments to be made in our country should exceed domestic market or regional markets in terms of scale and be designed and made at a global level, because Turkey is becoming not only a regional but also a global production and trade base.”
“TURKEY IS RESOLUTELY MARCHING TOWARDS ITS GOALS”
Stating that Turkey ranked 33rd among 190 countries in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business index, where it once ranked 84th among 175 countries, President Erdoğan underscored that the index showed that the confidence that investors had in Turkey had gradually increased thanks to Turkey’s strong infrastructure, and added: “Turkey is resolutely marching towards its goals with its strong infrastructure, constantly-growing production capacity, qualified labor force, shock-resistant and dynamic economy and with its bold entrepreneur and exporter potential. We are developing our economy on the pillars of investment, employment, production and export.”
“WE HAVE NEVER BOWED DOWN TO HYPOCRISIES”
Further stressing that the dirty political and social separation plot, which had succeeded in many parts of the world, had failed and would never succeed in Turkey, President Erdoğan noted: “What we have experienced so far shows that we should be a lot more careful from now on. We are well aware of the fact that the purpose of those who impose a set of criteria, which is never applied among themselves, on us is to make us lose time and energy, not to direct us to a more contemporary and more prosperous path.”
President Erdoğan said: “We have never and will never bow down to those hypocrisies, numerous examples of which we have gone through in many areas, from defense industry to energy, from environment to human rights and from trade to political freedoms. No imposition that disrespects Turkey’s sovereign rights and contradicts equity, justice, law, consciences or morals has a value to us. We have succeeded with this understanding in our efforts everywhere, from Syria to Libya, from Cyprus to Karabakh and from the Eastern Mediterranean to the Aegean. Despite the atmosphere sought to be created against our principled and humanitarian stance in every issue, the entire world has eventually witnessed that we are right.”
