President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared iftar with police, gendarmerie, coast guard personnel and security guards at the Presidential Complex.
“WE CANNOT AFFORD TO BE A MERE ONLOOKER TO REGIONAL INCIDENTS”
Speaking at the dinner, President Erdoğan stressed that the fact that Türkiye is located at the heart of the three continents contains difficulties as well as unique strategic opportunities, and said: “Since the global power competition is taking place in our region, we as Türkiye are directly affected by any kind of developments. We cannot afford to be a mere onlooker to the incidents. We must be prepared for any kind of scenarios, and manage and direct the incidents in our region in a manner that will benefit our country.”
President Erdoğan added that especially in recent years Türkiye has accomplished this, and that they have done what is moral and conscientious in Syria for 13.5 years at the cost of paying a price.
“WE HAVE FAVORED PEACE WHILE ALMOST EVERYONE HAS ADDED FUEL TO THE FIRE”
Stating that the same applies to Gaza as well, President Erdoğan noted that Türkiye has boldly defended its brothers and sisters in Gaza during the 471-day-long genocide and massacre there despite all the pressures of the global Zionist lobby, and continued as follows: “Today while many countries are ashamed of looking at the faces of the people of Gaza, we are honored with the sincere prayers of our Gazan brothers and sisters. We have encountered similar choices in the Russia-Ukraine war as well. We have favored peace while almost everyone has added fuel to the fire. And now, nearly all those criticizing us in the past have nothing to do but to concede the balanced policy of our government. Almost everyone, be them our friends or rivals, say that Türkiye makes very accurate and farsighted moves in very critical times.”
“ONE OF OUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENTS IS THE ELIMINATION OF FETO”
Pointing out that one of their greatest achievements has been the elimination of FETO, President Erdoğan stated that as they clear the police force, military and gendarmerie of unlawful structures, FETO-member traitors in particular, they both feel more self-confidence and attain more effective means to fight terrorist organizations and crime gangs, and went on to say: “Thanks to our security forces’ year-long operations, and thanks be to Allah, the terror threat inside our borders has almost ended. A climate of peace and security prevails villages, fields and highlands where once terrorist roamed. And with our operations in Iraq and Syria, we have drawn terrorist elements away from our borders.”
President Erdoğan said: “Today, we are in a stronger, more determined and more advantageous position to achieve the goal of the ‘terror-free Türkiye’ with all its dimensions. We are closer more than ever to permanently and decisively getting rid of a scourge that has exploited the blood, lives and resources of our nation for 40 years.”
“TÜRKİYE HAS TO ACT VERY CAUTIOUSLY”
Further stating that Türkiye has to act very cautiously during a period when the region and the world are in a process of historic restructuring, President Erdoğan added: “During the days when the gang of genocide has declared its intention to divide our region with new maps, we must set our policies accordingly. If we allow the repetition of a game, which was played a century ago, neither our ancestors nor next generations will forgive us. As the grandchildren of Sultan Alparslan and Sultan Saladin, we will join forces and with Allah’s permission will not allow Zionists to make new designs on our region.”
