“We are carrying out a firm economic programme to overcome the high cost of living”

Addressing AK Party’s provincial congress in Antalya, President Erdoğan said: “We are carrying out a firm economic programme to overcome the high cost of living which distresses our people. As inflation falls, we will have a more effective climate and means to take the steps that will increase the welfare level of especially our fixed-income citizens.”

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the party’s 8th ordinary provincial congress in Antalya.

“WE SURPASSED THE TOURISM TARGETS SET FOR 2024”

Drawing attention to the tourism statistics for 2024 announced earlier in the day by the Turkish Statistical Institute, President Erdoğan said that they surpassed the targets set for 2024, with the number of the visitors reaching 62.3 million people, and tourism income $61.1 billion, and noted: “We reached these figures despite all the challenges, crises and ambiguities in our region and the world. We will inshallah get to much better places. To that end, we should obviously first of all ensure that all necessary steps be taken in order for such tragedies as the one in Bolu Kartalkaya, where we have lost our 78 lives and which has deeply wounded all of us, not to occur again.”

“WE WILL NOT STOP UNTIL WE CRUSH ALL TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS”

Underscoring that they also follow the developments, which take place in the south and have vital importance in terms of Türkiye’s security, and plan their own moves, President Erdoğan pointed out that they will not stop until they complete the security line they seek to build along Türkiye’s borders and crush all terrorist organizations, and added: “On the other hand, we are carrying out a firm economic programme to overcome the high cost of living which distresses our people. As inflation falls, we will have a more effective climate and means to take the steps that will increase the welfare level of especially our fixed-income citizens. In the meantime, we are step by step building the infrastructure of the Century of Türkiye within all our institutions. During this critical period when global and regional balances are re-created, Türkiye, as was the case in the past, cannot afford to miss any opportunity, or to waste any of its potentials.”

“WE HAVE INVESTED TL851 BILLION IN ANTALYA”

Underscoring that they have invested TL851 billion in Antalya according to current figures, President Erdoğan noted: “We have invested TL8 billion in justice, TL66 billion in education, TL10 billion in youth and sports, TL10 billion in social aid, TL39 billion in healthcare, TL106 billion in environment and urbanization, TL214 billion in transportation, TL87 billion in agriculture and forestry, including agricultural grant-in-aids, TL13 billion in industry and technology, including incentives, TL170 billion in energy as the state and private sector, TL21 billion in culture and tourism, and TL38 billion in labor and social security, including incentives.”

“We have built four new universities, three of them by foundations and one by state, in our Antalya. We have provided the city with 128 sports facilities, including a 33,000-spectator stadium. We have built 68 healthcare facilities, including 27 hospitals and annexes with a total bed capacity of 4,991,” President Erdoğan said.
