Speaking at the key delivery ceremony for 5113 post-quake houses, President Erdoğan said: “We are not only building houses in the quake-hit region, which has turned into the largest construction site in the world; but also building brand new living spaces with schools, health centers, bazaars, markets, green areas and parks.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the key delivery ceremony for 5113 post-quake houses in Gaziantep.
“If we want to leave a prosperous Türkiye to our children, we must keep our feet firmly on the ground. This does not only apply to foreign policy, defense, or economy. Building strong and resilient cities is also an integral part of this,” President Erdoğan said.
“BY THE END OF 2024, WE WILL DELIVER A TOTAL OF 201,688 INDEPENDENT SECTIONS”
“By the end of 2024, we will deliver a total of 201,688 independent sections in 11 provinces, including 24,191 in Gaziantep. By the end of 2025, we will hopefully realize the delivery of a total of 31,317 houses and workplaces in Gaziantep and 452,982 independent sections in the entire quake-hit region,” President Erdoğan noted.
“We are not only building houses in the quake-hit region, which has turned into the largest construction site in the world; but also building brand new living spaces with schools, health centers, bazaars, markets, green areas and parks. We are renewing the infrastructure not only in the places destroyed in the earthquake, but also in all of our cities in the region. We continue to revitalize the economy, strengthen production, employment and trade in the quake-hit region, especially in Gaziantep, our industrial and commercial city. Türkiye has the power and political will to do all these simultaneously,” President Erdoğan said.
“WE INVESTED TL1 TRILLION 260 BILLION IN GAZIANTEP”
Pointing out that they have invested a total of TL1 trillion 260 billion in Gaziantep in the last 22 years, President Erdoğan said: “We have invested TL33 billion in justice, TL80 billion in education, TL3.5 billion in youth and sports, TL97 billion in social aid, TL34 billion in health, TL731 billion in environment and urbanization. In addition, we continue our investments amounting to TL88 billion. TL107 billion in transportation, TL61 billion in agriculture and forestry, TL9 billion in industry and technology, and TL21 billion in support for investments… We have carried out projects, works and services worth TL62 billion in energy, TL61 billion in culture and tourism, and TL17 billion in labor and social security, including incentives.”
“The construction of our Gaziantep-Osmaniye-İncirlik-Adana-Mersin High-Speed Train Project are underway in stages. When the project is completed, the journey between Gaziantep and Mersin will be reduced to 2 hours and 15 minutes. With our Şanlıurfa-Gaziantep High-Speed Train Project, for which survey work is ongoing, Gaziantep will be connected to both the east and the west by high-speed train,” President Erdoğan said.
