The August 30 Victory Day Special Concert was held by the Presidential Guard Regiment Band Command and the Janissary Band and Harmony Band Command of the Ministry of Defence.
The concert held in the Garden of the Presidential Complex was broadcast live on the YouTube channels and social media accounts of the Presidency and the Directorate of Communications as well as television channels.
The concert started with the Military March performed by the Presidential Guard Regiment Band Command and the Janissary Band and Harmony Band Command of the Ministry of National Defence, and then the Presidential Guard Regiment played the August 30 Victory March and Commander in Chief Salutation March.
The Janissary Band performed marches such as Takbir and Battle March, Military March (Ceddin Deden), This Flag, Young Osman, as well as songs such as Welcome Mustafa Kemal Pasha, Blacksea Fluttering, Know Son to the audience.
In the concert, where folk songs such as No Cloud in the Air, In the Middle of the Monastery, and On the Way to Gaziantep were performed, the Harmony Band also performed important pieces such as the Sakarya March and the Anafartalar March.
President Erdoğan's message was broadcast
During the concert, the August 30 Victory Day message of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was broadcast with a short video clip featuring footage from the War of Independence and the cross-border operations of the Turkish Armed Forces.
Indicating that August 30 was the day when the Great Offensive resulted in success in 1922, Erdoğan stated that all the disappointments in nearly a century going back from that date turned into a new hope, flutter of heart with Çanakkale for the first time.
In his message, Erdoğan noted the following:
"Our thousand-year existence in Anatolia has the strength, the opportunity, and the determination to overcome any obstacle that will be brought before it, as it has been to date. The most important thing we need for this is the unity of our nation. I believe that is the only way we can pay our debt to our martyrs and veterans who turned these lands into our homeland. Happy August 30 Victory Day."
