Vice President Fuat Oktay addressed citizens at mass opening ceremony held at Kırıkkale Train Station for the mass inauguration of the Nation's Garden, Science Centre and Yahşihan Yenişehir Flyover Interchange.
Oktay extended President Erdoğan's greetings to the people of Kırıkkale, stating that President Erdoğan has been working day and night for the nation.
"President Erdoğan had to take a slight break to be able to work in a faster, more dynamic and more vigorous manner tomorrow," Oktay said.
Vice President Oktay stated that they gathered for the inauguration of a magnificent project which would usher not only Kırıkkale, but all neighbouring provinces from Ankara to Sivas into a new era.
Oktay then stated the following:
"With the incorporation of Ankara-Sivas line, we are now completing one of the most critical phases of our high-speed train network centred in Ankara. Ankara-Sivas line will be a major section of the east-west speed railway corridor extending from Edirne to Kars. With the commissioning of this line, we are increasing the total railway route length to 13,896 kilometres, and speed train line route length to 2,228 kilometres. Currently, construction of a total of 3,593 kilometre-long speed train line is under way. With Allah’s permission, we will turn Türkiye into leading country in the realm of speed and high-speed train, like we have done in other fields."
