Türkiye, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan sign five agreements

Five agreements were signed between Türkiye, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan as part of the First Summit of Heads of State of Türkiye-Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan, which was attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Turkmenistan.

Agreements in the fields of trade, science, education, culture, customs, energy and transportation were signed at the ceremony held at the Awaza Congress Centre in the presence of President Erdoğan, President Serdar Berdimuhammedov of Turkmenistan and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan.

In this context, the "Agreement on Commercial and Economic Cooperation" between the three countries was signed by Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov of Azerbaijan and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Atdayev.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov of Azerbaijan and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nurmuhammet Amannepesov signed the "Framework Programme for Cooperation in Science, Education and Culture between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye, the Government of Turkmenistan, and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2023-2025".

Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov of Azerbaijan and Chairman of the State Customs Service Maksat Hudaykuliyev signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of a Joint Consultative Commission on the Exchange of Information on Customs Procedures at Customs Crossing Points between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye, the Government of Turkmenistan, and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov of Azerbaijan, and Chairman of the Turkmengaz State Concern Batyr Amanov signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the Development of Cooperation in the Field of Energy between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye, the Government of Turkmenistan, and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev of Azerbaijan, and Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications Mammethan Chakyev signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on the Further Development of Cooperation in the Field of Transport between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye, the Government of Turkmenistan, and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan."

The joint statement of the summit was adopted at the signing ceremony.
