In a message on Eid al-Adha, President Erdoğan said: “Despite preventions and criticisms, we are reaping the fruits of the policies we have been pursuing for the past 23 years in every area, our defense industry in particular. Türkiye, with its economic growth that has increased from 238 billion dollars to over 1.6 trillion dollars, its annual exports from 36 billion dollars to 276 billion dollars, and its defense and aviation exports from 248 million dollars to over 10 billion dollars, is writing a success story with few precedents in the world.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a message and congratulated citizens on Eid al-Adha.
President Erdoğan said: “I thank Allah almighty for allowing us, in health and with our hearts in peace, to observe yet another Eid. I wish from the bottom of my heart that these sacred days will lead to auspicious outcomes for our country, our august nation, the Islamic world and the entire humanity. I hope that your sacrificial donations, your prayers and your benevolences are accepted by Allah, and that they will inshallah increase your good deeds in the sight of Allah.
I, on my and my nation’s behalf, send the strongest solidarity messages to all my brothers and sisters, who observe this Eid, too, with a heavy heart, pain and sorrow in different parts of our kindred geography, first and foremost Gaza, and congratulate each and every one of them on Eid al-Adha. May my Lord allow us as the nation and the Ummah to observe many eids, at the center of which peace, well-being, unity and brotherhood lie.
Besides being a type of worship, Qurban, in respect of its etymology, means “to approach”, “to draw close” and “to near”, as well. I believe that our each and every citizen will make the most this spiritual festival both through their visits to their friends and relatives, and through their benevolence and solidarity activities, and thus will both draw close to Allah, and unite with one another through much stronger ties.
Our brotherhood will strengthen, and relief will replace hardship, and embracement will replace resentment if we duly mark these sacred days, when affection and selflessness prevail in hearts. My prayers and expectations are that this Eid, too, will lead to the softening of hearts, reconciliation of the estranged, resolution of resentments and to the complete opening of the clenched fists.
“Türkiye will be one of the shining stars of the new era”
While we as the Islamic world are feeling the joy of reaching a climate of peace, our region and the world are going through a highly stressful period. Despite the ceasefire, Israel is relentlessly maintaining its occupation, destruction, massacre and illegal settlement activities in different parts of our geography, from Gaza to the West Bank, from the East al-Quds to Lebanon.
Also, the adverse effects of the war triggered by the provocations and arrangements of Israel are felt in many areas, from energy to agriculture, trade to transportation, and economy to security. During this period when our region is grappling with a series of wars and crises, Türkiye, with its economy, infrastructure, experienced institutions, competent cadres, and above all with its domestic front it has consolidated, distinguishes itself as an island of stability. Despite preventions and criticisms, we are reaping the fruits of the policies we have been pursuing for the past 23 years in every area, our defense industry in particular.
Türkiye, with its economic growth that has increased from 238 billion dollars to over 1.6 trillion dollars, its annual exports from 36 billion dollars to 276 billion dollars, and its defense and aviation exports from 248 million dollars to over 10 billion dollars, is writing a success story with few precedents in the world.
Once the cloud of dust in our near environment clears up, one of the shining stars of the new era will inshallah be our Türkiye. We are doing whatever is necessary to that end.
“We are working with great sincerity to accomplish terror-free Türkiye”
The process of a terror-free Türkiye, whose strategic value in terms of our country’s future and our region’s stability has nowadays been better understood, is one of these works. We are working with great diligence, commonsense and sincerity to accomplish this historic process, which is contributing to the strengthening of peace and security inside our borders, and to the foiling of imperialist games outside our borders. Our will to rid our nation of this scourge, whose merely economic cost for Türkiye has exceeded 2 trillion dollars, is absolute, and stands tall and firm just like the first day.
With these thoughts, I once again wish that Eid al-Adha will lead to auspicious outcomes for our country, our nation, the Islamic world and the entire humanity. May Allah acknowledge and accept the worship and prayers of our brothers and sisters who are now on holy lands to fulfill their pilgrimage. I especially ask our citizens that will hit the roads during the Eid to obey traffic rules and speed limits. I salute you with respect and affection, and wish you a peaceful Eid al-Adha with your families and the loved ones. Eid Mubarak! Stay in good health…”
