Issuing a message on Eid al-Fitr, President Erdoğan said: “Türkiye, with Allah’s permission, is secure, in safe hands, and step by step advancing towards its goals under the management of experienced and competent cadres. As the government and the alliance, we will work round-the-clock if need be, we will work 365 days and 6 hours if need be, but we will not allow anyone to stand in Türkiye’s way.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a message and congratulated citizens on Eid al-Fitr.
President Erdoğan said: “I wholeheartedly wish that Eid al-Fitr will bring goodness, well-being and prosperity for our country, our nation, the Islamic world and the entire humanity. I thank Allah almighty for allowing us to observe yet another Eid, which we will enjoy in health.
The wounds inflicted on the geography close to our hearts are unfortunately continuing to bleed. Our brothers and sisters in Gaza are trying to observe Eid al-Fitr under the attacks of Israel, which is violating the ceasefire rules and blocking the entrance of humanitarian aid. The policy of occupation and destruction is going on with all its violence in the south of Lebanon and the different parts of Palestine, especially the East al-Quds and the West Bank.
“We are continuing to take steps that will strengthen our nation’s security”
The attacks launched against our neighbor Iran on February 28 with Israel’s provocations and Iran’s missile and drone retaliation against third countries has further escalated the tension in our region. With the awareness that we carry the responsibility of the 86 million, we will always be cautious and on the alert in the face of this worrisome picture. While we are adopting a very determined attitude towards the acts violating our airspace, we are also continuing to take steps that will strengthen our nation’s security and tranquility.
We have succeeded in peacefully crossing numerous thresholds in our terror-free Türkiye process, which we launched 17 months ago, and whose strategical importance has been better understood nowadays. The relevant units of our state are meticulously carrying out their duties to prevent the slightest security flaw and to not allow the process to be sabotaged.
With the solution of the problem in the north of Syria through reconciliation, our security concerns have eased, Syria’s territorial integrity have been preserved, and the process has been saved from a heavy burden open to exploitation. The report adopted by the National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission with the support of all the political parties’ groups present a comprehensive roadmap. I believe that the discussions to be made regarding the legal dimension of the process will be carried out with commonsense under the roof of our ghazi parliament in the upcoming period. Likewise, the steps aimed at the dissolution of the organization will be taken without any delay. Our goal is to achieve success in this auspicious work without any incident, taking into account the bloody scenarios sought to be staged in our region.
“We grew our economy by 3.6% last year”
By delivering on our promise to our quake-victim brothers and sisters, we completed the 455,327 independent sections on December 27. In the meantime, we succeeded in growing our economy by 3.6 per cent last year during a period when ambiguities increased all across the world. With this rate, Türkiye became the third fastest-growing country among the OECD countries. Currently, the reserves of our Central Bank are at the level of 200 billion dollars. We carry out intensive efforts in order for the excessive rises in oil and natural gas prices to not hinder our fight against inflation.
We are doing our utmost in order for our pensioners, workers, civil servants, craftsmen, tradesmen and industrialists to leave behind these trying days, which we hope are temporary, with minimum hardship. No one, none of our citizens should have the slightest doubt about it.
