Speaking at the opening ceremony of new defense facilities, President Erdoğan said: “Our engineers, technicians, companies and shipyards are making history on land, at sea and in the air. Praise be to Allah Almighty, Türkiye is now capable of designing its own technology, developing its own software, and exporting to the world what it manufactures. Türkiye now meets the security needs of not only its own military, but also, if demanded, of the friendly, brotherly, and allied countries.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at a ceremony for the commissioning of HAVELSAN SANCAR USV and the opening of new defense facilities in Ankara.
Stressing that security and defense are not comprised of one single dimension and that a strong defense architecture must cover every sphere extending from the depths of seas to space, from land to cybersecurity, President Erdoğan stated: “Thank Allah, with the breakthroughs we have accomplished over the past 23 years particularly in autonomous technologies, we have reached a level that astonishes the entire world.”
President Erdoğan continued his remarks as follows: “We have managed to come to this level with patience and perseverance, notwithstanding the obstacles raised before us by those we consider to be a friend and ally. We have reached this level by meticulously planning every detail of our every move. We have lowered our foreign dependency from some 80 percent to 20 percent. Our engineers, technicians, companies and shipyards are making history on land, at sea and in the air. Praise be to Allah Almighty, Türkiye is now capable of designing its own technology, developing its own software, and exporting to the world what it manufactures. Türkiye now meets the security needs of not only its own military, but also, if demanded, of the friendly, brotherly, and allied countries.”
Noting that Türkiye’s star is shining increasingly more brightly across the globe with its ability to conduct detection, identification and engagement processes through its own domestic and national technology, President Erdoğan added: “I take great pride in stating that Türkiye is currently one of the ten countries in the world capable of building and launching its own warship.”
