“Türkiye Drone Festival”, organised by Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, starts tomorrow

Türkiye Drone Festival, organised by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, will begin tomorrow, and for the first time in the world, the country will be promoted using First Person View (FPV) Drones.

Professional "FPV drone" pilots from around the world will compete to showcase Türkiye's most prominent destinations during the festival, which runs until August 28.

Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun noted the following about the festival:

"Drones are flying for Türkiye. Tomorrow marks the start of the Türkiye Drone Festival, organised by our Directorate of Communications. We will witness our country's riches in 12 cities throughout the festival, which will include world-renowned FPV drone pilots in the categories of history, belief, water, and health."

The competitors will display Türkiye's riches with FPV drones in the categories of history, belief, water, and health in 12 cities, namely, Antalya, Muğla, Van, İstanbul, Mardin, Hatay, Adıyaman, Nevşehir, Şanlıurfa, Denizli, Sivas, and İzmir.

Twelve renowned professional FPV drone pilots from across the world, including Luke Bannister from the United Kingdom, Ian Rinefort and Reme Raul Morales from the United States, Colas Feuillie, Antoine Gaetano, and Vladimir Metivier from France, Ivan Surikov from Switzerland, Sergi Hernandez Lopez from Spain, Oğuz Albayrak, Cumhur Büyüktaş, Berkay Efe, and Burak Altıparmak from Türkiye, will compete to capture the most outstanding images of Türkiye's historical, natural, and cultural attractions from the best angle and with the most stunning perspective.

The images captured with FPV drones will be released on the "turkdronefest.com" website on September 20-25. The best video will be decided by public vote on the competition's website between these dates. The award ceremony for the Türkiye Drone Festival will be held on September 30.
