In the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia, a cooperation agreement in the field of media and communications was signed.
The memorandum of understanding signed by the Presidency’s Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information of Serbia Maja Gojković goes on to state that cooperation in the fields of media and communications will be developed and strengthened between the two countries.
The memorandum of understanding aims to enhance the friendly relations between the two countries, to strengthen and further develop relations in the fields of media and communications. In this light, the two countries will seek to strengthen, promote, and develop cooperation in the fields of media, communications, and broadcasting on the basis of reciprocity and mutual benefit, under the terms of the memorandum of understanding and the laws, rules, regulations and national policies in effect in their respective countries. As part of this, cooperation in the fields of communications, public diplomacy, media, and broadcasting will be promoted and expanded between the two countries.
Between the two countries, the exchange of experience and know-how in the field of media and communications, the sharing of best practises and experiences, and cooperation on initiatives and projects of mutual benefit and interest will be ensured.
Furthermore, meetings, seminars, workshops, trainings, and conferences will be organised; reciprocal visits between authorities and media, communications, and broadcasting experts will be encouraged.
The MoU will enter into force today and remain in effect for three years.
