The signing ceremony of cooperation agreements took place at the Serbian Presidential Palace, attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
Türkiye and Serbia signed 11 cooperation agreements in multiple fields, including energy, trade, technology, sports, social security, disaster management, and media.
At the ceremony, the "Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Disaster and Emergency Management" between the Ministries of Interior of the two countries was signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Ivica Daçic and Head of AFAD Okay Memiş.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan and Minister of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs Nemanya Staroviç signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Fields of Labour, Employment and Social Security" between the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of the Republic of Türkiye.
Minister of Economy Adriana Mesarovic and Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye.
Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Cedovic Handanovic and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Energy Transformation" between the Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Türkiye.
Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Media and Information signed
The Resolution No. 1/2024 on Amending Two Articles of the Protocol on the Definition of "Originating Products" and the Agreement on the Methods of Administrative Cooperation of the Free Trade between the Republic of Türkiye and the Republic of Serbia was signed by Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade Tomislav Momirović and Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat during the ceremony.
The "Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Sports" between the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye was signed by Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak of Türkiye and Minister of Sports Zoran Gajić of Serbia.
The "Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Youth" between the Ministry of Tourism and Youth of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye was signed by Minister of Tourism and Youth Husein Memić and Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak.
The "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Media and Information" between the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia and the Presidency's Directorate of Communications of the Republic of Türkiye was signed by the Minister of Information and Telecommunications Dejan Ristić and the Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun.
The Town Twinning Protocol between Belgrade Municipality of the Republic of Serbia and Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality of the Republic of Türkiye was signed by Mayor of Belgrade Aleksandar Šapić and Mayor of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Fatma Şahin.
The Protocol on Cooperation between the State Archives of Serbia and the Directorate of State Archives of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye was signed by the Director of the State Archives of Serbia Miroslav Perišić and the Director of the State Archives of the Presidency Muhammet Ahmet Tokdemir.
The "Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Academia" between the Belgrade Institute of History of the Republic of Serbia and the Turkish Historical Society of the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language, and History of the Republic of Türkiye was signed by the Director of the Belgrade Institute of History Aleksandar Rastović and the Director of the Turkish Historical Society Yüksel Özgen.
President Erdoğan and President Vučić held a joint press conference after the signing ceremony.
