Agreements were signed between the two countries in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia.
Following the first meeting of the Türkiye-Malaysia High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council at the Presidential Complex, a signing ceremony was held for various agreements.
At the ceremony, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia signed a joint declaration on the establishment of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
"The Minutes of the First Joint Committee Meeting on Cooperation in Higher Education between the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye and the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia" were signed by the President of the Council of Higher Education, Prof Erol Özvar, and, on behalf of Malaysia, the Minister of Higher Education, Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.
"The Memorandum of Understanding between the Investment and Finance Office of the Republic of Türkiye and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority" was signed by President of the Investment and Finance Office Ahmet Burak Dağlıoğlu and, on behalf of Malaysia, Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority, YBhg. Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid.
''The Memorandum of Understanding between the Export Credit Bank of Türkiye (Turk Eximbank) and the Export-Import Bank of Malaysia (EXIM Bank)'' was signed by the Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Export Credit Bank of Türkiye, Osman Çelik and, on behalf of Malaysia, President and CEO of the Export-Import Bank of Malaysia, Datuk Nurbayu Kasim Chang.
''The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Economic and Social Research between the Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research and the Institute of Strategic and International Studies Malaysia'' was signed by General Coordinator of the Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research, Assoc Prof Nebi Miş, and, on behalf of Malaysia, Chairman of the Institute of Strategic and International Studies, Prof Mohd Faiz Abdullah.
''The Acceptance Letter for the Procurement of One Multi-purpose Mission Ship (MPMS) between Türkiye's Desan Shipyard and the Ministry of Home Affairs of Malaysia'' was signed by Chairman of the Board of Directors of Desan Shipyard, Cenk İsmail Kaptanoğlu, and, on behalf of Malaysia, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amran Mohamed Zin.
''The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Information and Communication Technologies between the Information and Communication Technologies Authority of the Republic of Türkiye (BTK) and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC)'' was signed by Chairman of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK), Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu, and, on behalf of Malaysia, Chairman of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Bin Fateh Din.
In addition to the six agreements signed between the two brotherly countries, a joint declaration on the establishment of the “High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council” was also signed.
