Eight agreements were signed between Türkiye and Iran in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye and President Ebrahim Raisi of Iran.
The signing ceremony of the agreements began following the 7th Meeting of the Türkiye-Iran High-Level Cooperation Council held at the Sa’dabad Complex.
In this context, "Comprehensive Long Term Cooperation Agreement Between Türkiye and Iran", "Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran on Cooperation in the field of Diplomatic Archives", "Administrative Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the Implementation of the Social Security Agreement", "Cooperation Action Plan in the field of Youth and Sports between the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Sport and Youth of the Islamic Republic of Iran", "Action Plan as a complement to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB) of the Republic of Türkiye and Iran Small Industry and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) on April 7, 2015", "Memorandum of Understanding between the National Metrology Institute (UME) of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) and the National Metrology Centre of the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of the Islamic Republic of Iran", "Cooperation Protocol between the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Corporation (IRIB) and Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT)", "Memorandum of Understanding between the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye and the Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran on Cooperation in Promotional Activities for Investment" were signed.
The agreements were signed on behalf of Türkiye by Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Youth and Sports Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, TRT Director-General Mehmet Zahid Sobacı and President of the Presidency’s Investment Office Ahmet Burak Dağlıoğlu, and on behalf of Iran by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Acting Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare Mohammad Hadi Zahedivafa, Minister of Sports and Youth Seyed Hamid Sajjadi, Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade Reza Fatemi Amin, President of National Standards Organization Mehdi Eslampanah, Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Corporation Peyman Jebelli and Head of the Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran Ali Fekri.
After the signing ceremony, President Erdoğan extended an invitation to President Raisi of Iran for the Islamic Solidarity Games, which will take place in Konya.
