Türkiye and Indonesia sign 5 agreements

Prior to the G20 Summit on the Indonesian island of Bali, Türkiye and Indonesia signed five agreements at the Hilton Bali Resort in the fields of defence industry, technology, forestry, environment, and development.
Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu began his speech before the signing ceremony by thanking Defence Minister Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia for his condolences regarding the explosion on İstiklal Street yesterday.
Çavuşoğlu emphasised that Türkiye will continue to eradicate terrorists in the country and its region.
Noting that it was a historic moment in Bali, Çavuşoğlu announced that the two countries' presidents would form the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated that significant progress has been made in the two countries' cooperation in recent years and added:
"The agreements we signed today in the fields of defence, research, forestry, the environment, and development will strengthen our ties. Today, our private sectors will also sign important agreements for projects such as electric buses and the Trans-Sumatra highway."
Çavuşoğlu stated that despite global challenges, Indonesia held a successful presidency at the G20 Summit and said, "We also applaud Indonesian President Widodo's progress and the country's leadership. Our cooperation as the two great powers of the Islamic world is critical for Muslims all over the world."
Defence Minister Subianto of Indonesia expressed his condolences to Türkiye following yesterday’s attack in İstanbul.
Subianto said that the signed agreements demonstrate the dynamics of the two countries' relationship and stated the following:
"I am aware that a tremendous deal of work has gone into making these agreements a reality. Indonesia's and Türkiye's bilateral relations are likewise growing stronger by the day. I believe that the announcement of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council by the leaders of the two nations today will mark a turning point in bilateral ties."
