President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia paid an official visit to Türkiye accompanied by his delegation.
As part of this visit, during the signing ceremony held at the Presidential Complex under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia, "The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Fields of Media, Public Relations and Communication" was signed by the Presidency's Head of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, and the Chief of the Presidential Communication Office of Indonesia, Hasan Nasbi.
"The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Fields of Media, Public Relations and Communication between the Directorate of Communications of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye and the Presidential Communication Office of Indonesia" aims to further strengthen the friendly relations between the two nations and to foster closer cooperation in the fields of media, public relations and communication. Within this framework, and in line with the provisions of the memorandum of understanding, as well as their respective national legislation, rules, regulations and policies, both countries will endeavour to strengthen, promote, and enhance cooperation, along with the exchange of information and experiences, based on the principles of reciprocity and mutual benefit in the fields of media, culture, public relations, public diplomacy, and strategic communications.
The Memorandum of Understanding envisages the exchange of information and experience in the fields of media, public relations, and communication; the sharing of the best professional practices; the promotion of cooperation on projects and initiatives that are of mutual benefit to both parties; the organisation of conferences, training and workshops; and the encouragement of reciprocal visits between officials and experts in the fields of media and communication.
The Memorandum of Understanding, which will enter into effect as of today, will remain in force for three years.
