Türkiye and Hungary sign 16 agreements

After President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán of Hungary, the two countries inked 16 cooperation agreements in a variety of fields.

In this context, the "Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Cooperation between Türkiye Wealth Fund (TWF) International Investments Inc. and 4iG Public Limited Company" was signed by Salim Arda Ermut, General Manager and Board Member on behalf of Türkiye Wealth Fund Management, and Jászai Gellért Zoltán, Chairman of the Board on behalf of the 4iG Public Limited Company. 

The "Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Cooperation between Türkiye Wealth Fund and National Capital Holding Plc" was signed by General Manager and Board Member Ermut on behalf of Türkiye Wealth Fund Management and Márton Nagy, Minister of National Economy of Hungary, on behalf of National Capital Holding Plc. 

The Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, and Chief National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of Hungary, Marcell Biró, signed the "Memorandum of Understanding between the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Directorate of Communications and the Office of the Chief National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of Hungary on Cooperation in the Field of Combating Disinformation." 

The "Memorandum of Understanding between the Secretariat-General of the National Security Council of the Republic of Türkiye and the Office of the Chief National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of Hungary" was signed by Okay Memiş, Secretary General of the National Security Council, and Marcell Biró, Chief National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of Hungary. 

Secretary of Turkish Defence Industries, Prof. Haluk Görgün, and Minister of National Economy of Hungary, Márton Nagy, signed the "Framework Agreement between the Secretariat of Defence Industries of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of National Economy of Hungary".

The "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Higher Education between the Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Culture and Innovation of Hungary" and the "Implementation Protocol for the Years 2025–2028 of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Higher Education between the Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Culture and Innovation of Hungary" were signed by the President of the Council of Higher Education, Erol Özvar, and the Minister of Culture and Innovation of Hungary, Balázs Hankó.

Minister of Industry and Technology of Türkiye, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, and Minister of Culture and Innovation of Hungary, Hankó, signed the "Declaration of Intent on Enhancing Cooperation in the Fields of Science, Technology and Innovation between the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Culture and Innovation of Hungary" and the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Industrial Property between the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Culture and Innovation of Hungary."

The "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Fields of Science, Technology, Industry, Innovation and Investment between the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Culture and Innovation of Hungary, the Ministry of National Economy of Hungary, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary," as well as the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Metrology between TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute of the Republic of Türkiye and the Metrological and Technical Supervisory Department of Government Office of the Capital City Budapest," were signed by Minister Kacır of Türkiye and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Szijjártó.
 Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Szijjártó, signed the "Air Services Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of Hungary".

The "Joint Statement on Enhancing Bilateral Trade Relations between the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary" was signed by the Minister of Trade of Türkiye, Ömer Bolat, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Szijjártó.

Minister of National Education of Türkiye, Yusuf Tekin, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Szijjártó, signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on the Scholarship Programme for the Years 2026–2028 between the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary."

The "Memorandum of Understanding on Combating the Illicit Trafficking of Cultural Property between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Construction and Transport of Hungary" was signed by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Szijjártó. 

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Szijjártó, signed the "Joint Statement on the Establishment of a Joint Planning Group between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary."
