Türkiye and Azerbaijan sign three agreements

Three agreements were signed between Türkiye and Azerbaijan in the presence of their respective presidents, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Ilham Aliyev.

President Erdoğan, who is in Nakhchivan for a one-day working visit at the invitation of Aliyev, held a bilateral meeting with President Aliyev of Azerbaijan at the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The meeting was followed by the signing ceremony of the agreements between the two countries in the presence of President Erdoğan and President Aliyev.

President Erdoğan and President Aliyev signed the "Protocol of Intent between the Republic of Türkiye and the Republic of Azerbaijan on the Kars-Nakhchivan Railway Project".

After the signatures were exchanged, President Erdoğan and Aliyev shook hands and passed each other the signature protocols.

Mehmet Özhaseki, Minister of Environment, Urbanisation, and Climate Change, and Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, signed the "Cooperation Agreement on the Construction of Residential Buildings, Primary School, Kindergarten, Cultural Center in Kahramanmaraş Province of the Republic of Türkiye".

Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, and Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan, signed the text, which recognises the continuation of the existing cooperation between the ministries of both countries on electric energy.
