Four agreements were signed between Türkiye and Albania in the fields of cooperation, communication, education, and agriculture.
In the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, agreements were signed between the two countries prior to a joint press conference.
The Joint Declaration on Deepening the Strategic Partnership Established by the High-Level Cooperation Council between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Republic of Albania was signed by President Erdoğan and Prime Minister Rama.
The Declaration of Intent on Cooperation in the Field of State-Supported Agricultural Insurance between the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Albania was signed by Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Albania Anila Denaj.
The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Public Relations and Communication between Türkiye and Albania was signed by Presidency's Head of Communications, Prof. Fahrettin Altun, and the Director General of the Media and Information Agency of the Republic of Albania, Alteo Hysi.
Lastly, the Protocol on the Opening of Academic Branches and Programs of Istanbul Technical University in Albania was signed between the President of the Council of Higher Education, Türkiye and Albania Erol Özvar, and Minister of Education and Sports of Albania, Ogerta Manastirliu.
Statement by Head of Communications Altun
Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared a post on his social media account regarding the signing of the Cooperation Agreement.
In his post, Head of Communications Altun stated the following:
“Today, in the presence of our President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, we signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Public Relations and Communication between Türkiye and Albania with Alteo Hysi, Director General of the Media and Information Agency of the Republic of Albania.
I wish for this memorandum, aimed at further enhancing the exchange of knowledge and experience in the fields of communication and media between our countries, to be auspicious.”
