Turkish delegation pays visit to Bloomberg News

The Turkish delegation, comprised of high-level officials, members of parliament, and businesspeople, paid a visit to Bloomberg, the leading financial news network in the US, as part of the visits to the US Department of State and the Department of Commerce and spoke with officials.

As part of the 100-billion-dollar trade volume target between Türkiye and the US, the Turkish delegation, which held talks in Washington and New York under the coordination of the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), visited the US Department of State, the Department of Commerce, and the US Chamber of Commerce.

Following the Atlantic Council, the delegation moved on to visit Bloomberg, the leading financial news network in the US today. The Turkish delegation met with channel officials to discuss trade, diplomacy, and bilateral economic relations between Türkiye and the US.

Schedule of the visits

The Turkish delegation, which initially visited the US Department of State as part of the meetings, held talks with department officials on bilateral relations and commerce diplomacy.

In addition, a meeting at the US Department of State and a roundtable discussion on “Opening Doors to New Opportunities: Turkish-American Commercial Relations” at the US Chamber of Commerce were held as part of the US visits organised in collaboration with the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM).

Later, the delegation visited the US Department of Commerce and discussed trade diplomacy and bilateral economic relations. 

Visiting the US Chamber of Commerce on the second day of the meetings, the delegation conducted talks with the US Chamber of Commerce officials on trade diplomacy and bilateral economic relations between Türkiye and the US. President of the Investment Office of the Turkish Presidency Ahmet Burak Dağlıoğlu, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology and AK Party Konya Deputy Ziya Altunyaldız, Presidency’s Deputy Director of Communications Çağatay Özdemir, Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) Başaran Bayrak, TİM Brand Council Vice-Chairman Süleyman Orakçıoğlu and TOBB Vice President of the Board of Directors Ayhan Zeytinoğlu, as well as the businesspeople Mehmet Ali Yörük, General Manager of Istikbal Furniture and Murat Hocalar, General Manager of Aynes Inc. attended these talks.
