Turkish Airlines (THY) signed an order agreement with Boeing for up to 150 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in line with its long-term growth strategy.
The agreement, signed following negotiations that have been underway since 2025, represents the airline’s largest-ever single-aisle aircraft order with Boeing.
Finalised in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the agreement aims to strengthen the airline’s short- and medium-haul network and support its fleet growth strategy.
Under the agreement, THY has placed a firm order for 100 Boeing 737-8 aircraft, with options for an additional 50 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
The agreement also gives THY the option to switch to the Boeing 737-10, the largest member of the 737 MAX family. This will enable the airline to plan its fleet capacity more flexibly in line with passenger demand across its network and its operational requirements.
