Arabic brochures prepared by the Directorate of Communications on protection from the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic are distributed in the zones of Operations Olive Branch, Euphrates Shield, and Peace Spring as well as temporary shelters in northern Syria.
Turkey is carrying out effective preventive and awareness efforts against the Covid-19 pandemic beyond its borders, too.
Within this context, Arabic brochures, which have been prepared by the Directorate of Communications and include the points to be considered for protection from the Covid-19 pandemic, are distributed by the Syrian Task Force teams of the Ministry of Health in the zones of Operations Olive Branch, Euphrates Shield, and Peace Spring.
The teams distribute the 6-page Arabic brochures that describe the ways of protection from the coronavirus by visiting every household and informing the local community about the threat of pandemic. These brochures will be delivered to 500 thousand households in 3 zones.
The Arabic brochures are also distributed in the provinces that are densely populated by Syrians in Turkey and in temporary shelters.
The brochures contain a detailed description of how the coronavirus is transmitted and what its symptoms are, as well as the 14 rules to be followed for protection from the coronavirus risk along with images.
Mohammed Abdo, who lives in the Hammam village of Afrin, said that he looked into the brochures and found them very useful. Abdo thanked Turkey for the awareness efforts.
Azime Uleyn, one of the local residents, said, “We are also trying to take measures against coronavirus by staying in our houses. We would like to thank Turkey for its efforts.”
In addition to the distribution of informative brochures on the coronavirus, the website www.tr-sehha.com has been launched in Arabic for the same purpose. The web site contains enlightening information on coronavirus and offers up-to-date information on the course of coronavirus in Turkey and around the world.
