“Thousands” sent support and solidarity messages to CIMER after the earthquake in Elazığ

Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun said that the Presidency’s Communication Centre (CİMER) has received many massages of support and solidarity in the wake of the earthquake that struck Elazığ province with its epicentre in Sivrice district.

Altun posted the following on his Twitter account: “We would sacrifice ourselves for this country, this nation. CİMER has received thousands of messages like this… Yes, thousands of them…” and gave some examples of such messages.

Altun shared the following messages:

“- Dear leader, Mr. President. I hope Allah will not impede our state and our believing nation. As you know, our nation has been devastated by the earthquake. As a result, the door of my humble house is wide open for one family. We would be honoured to share our bread and heart. I would like to offer my deepest respect and esteem for your acceptance.”

“- First of all, I would like to express my condolences to our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake that hit Elazığ and Malatya and a speedy recovery to the wounded survivors of the earthquake. Our heart and soul have been locked onto Elazığ and Malatya since the earthquake occurred. I may be in Ankara as a distance, but I am there with my heart and prayers. I have no doubt that all facilities of our state have been mobilized. As a citizen, I am saying with all my sincerity that I am ready to do my part for Elazığ and Malatya. Our heart and feelings are there.”

“- Mr. President, we hope Allah will never separate us. The earthquake that occurred in our Elazığ province deeply injured our entire country. Mr. President, my wife Fatma Sarılı and I live in the Çukurova district of Adana province. We would like to take care of a family who are left homeless as a result of the earthquake in Elazığ. We want to take care of a family you see fit. May Allah protect you.”

“- I cannot stop thinking about the children who were harmed the most by the earthquake in Elazığ. As a Düzce University student at the Department of Child Care and Youth Services, I would like to go to a kindergarten or a tent to take care of the children there. I would like to express my thanks in advance.”
