Speaking at an event marking Human Rights Day, President Erdoğan said: “There is not any stain regarding human rights in our history or in our cultural and civilizational codes that we would be ashamed of. On the contrary, we have a cleaner track record and a more embracing mentality than all those who lecture us on rights and freedoms today. We courageously uphold rights, justice, peace and human dignity not only in our region but across the entire world.”
