Making remarks on the presidential runoff results, President Erdoğan said: “The winner of both the May 14 election and the May 28 election is the whole of our 85 million citizens. We had said that we would win in such a manner that no one would lose. Therefore, the only winner today is Türkiye.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens in Kısıklı, Istanbul.
Pointing out that the runoff election has now been completed with the support of the nation, President Erdoğan extended his gratitude to all the citizens who went to the ballot boxes to display their will both for themselves and for the future of their children.
Drawing attention to the high voter turnout abroad, President Erdoğan stated: “I would like to thank each and every member of our nation who once again gave us the responsibility to govern the country for the next five years with the choice they made. We will inshallah be worthy of your trust, as we have done over the past 21 years.”
Stressing that the winner of both the May 14 election and the May 28 election is Türkiye’s entire 85 million strong population, President Erdoğan said: “We had said that we would win in such a manner that no one would lose. Accordingly, the only winner today is Türkiye. We have all together paved the way for the Century of Türkiye without any concessions from our democracy, development and targets.”
