“The number of the post-earthquake houses under construction has reached 100,000”

Meeting with earthquake victims at an iftar dinner in Kocaeli, President Erdoğan said: “The number of the residences and village houses under construction has reached 100,000. We will not leave our earthquake victims alone in Eid al-Fitr as well, and will deliver some of the constructed village houses.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with earthquake victims at an iftar dinner in Kocaeli.

Speaking at the dinner, President Erdoğan noted that since the beginning of the Ramadan, they had repeatedly visited the earthquake-hit cities, which he had already been a couple of times, and said: “We were in Malatya on Thursday, and in Diyarbakır yesterday. Tomorrow, we will inshallah be in Şanlıurfa. As of yesterday, the number of the residences and village houses under construction has reached 100,000. Allah willing, this number will further increase with Şanlıurfa. We will not leave our earthquake victims alone in Eid al-Fitr as well. We will deliver some of the constructed village houses. We will finish the debris removal works in all our cities except for Hatay until Eid al-Fitr. We witness that as debris is removed and new buildings rise, hopes rise, too, in the earthquake zone.”

President Erdoğan stressed that they would not stop until they restored the quake-hit cities to their former magnificence, and they would always dote on earthquake victims.

Recalling that they had put Türkiye’s domestic and national automobile Togg on the roads, and delivered TCG Anadolu, the world’s first UCAV carrier, to the Turkish navy, President Erdoğan noted that TCG Anadolu would be anchored in Sirkeci, and that citizens could pay a visit to the vessel there. “Our new unmanned aerial vehicles, which are the most advanced products in their fields, are counting the days to take off,” the President further noted.
