“The global system has gone bankrupt with the Gaza crisis”

Addressing the AK Party Human Rights Training Program, President Erdoğan, in reference to Israel’s attacks on Gaza, said: “The global system has gone bankrupt with the Gaza crisis. The United Nations Security Council keeps mum in the face of this atrocity, which should normally have prompted a global outcry.”

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the AK Party Human Rights Training Program in Ankara.

Underscoring that they closely follow the regional developments, President Erdoğan drew attention to the significant power gap in the international system, and added: “We are all together witnessing the collapse of the rule-based system the humanity built in the aftermath of grave experiences. However, steps that would reverse this bad course of events have yet to be taken. Unfortunately, the necessary lessons have not been drawn from the Srebrenica genocide, the Iraq’s occupation, the Syrian conflict, or the Russia-Ukraine war. No efforts aimed at revising the global system on the axis of justice and preventing the violation of rights, including the right to live, have been made. Each crisis erupted in the face of this complacency has sadly surpassed the previous one. However, the global system has gone bankrupt with the Gaza crisis. Gaza has put down all the masks, removed all the curtains on the reality and revealed how empty the institutions that have been shown as an example for decades.”

“ISRAEL MASSACRES GAZANS BY DEPRIVING THEM OF WATER AND FOOD”

Stressing that it has been 10 months since Israel’s genocide has begun, President Erdoğan said: “In this period, over 6 thousand children were killed, and 40 thousand innocent people were martyrized. Bodies of more than 10 thousand martyrs under the debris have yet to be reached. Nearly 100 thousand peple, some of them seriously, have been injured. Israel not only kills Gazans with bombs and bullets but also massacres them by depriving them of water and food. A rogue state that is getting more spoiled, ruthless and brutal every passing day has been committing for 300 days every kind of barbarity against 2.3 million people that it has squeezed into a piece of land no larger than the palm of a hand. The global system has gone bankrupt with the Gaza crisis. The United Nations Security Council keeps mum in the face of this atrocity, which should normally have prompted a global outcry. They have half-heartedly adopted a so-called resolution but have not bothered to take the slightest action to execute it.”

“NEITHER HISTORY NOR THEIR CHILDREN WILL FORGIVE  THEM”

“Just as the names of those, who applauded Hitler with excitement during his genocidal speech at the Nazi parliament Reichstag 85 years ago, went down in history with shame, those, who have given Netanyahu, the present Hitler, a standing ovation for his lies, will  never be able to clean that dark stain stuck on their hands for a lifetime as well. Neither history nor their children will forgive these unconscientious people, letting out cries of joy over especially the pains of the oppressed.”

Underscoring that the place for those, who have been carrying out a genocide, should be courtrooms, not parliament halls, President Erdoğan noted that it is lack of foresight, beyond unjustness, to welcome those responsible for the killing of 40 thousand people in Gaza, and went on to say: “We have seen where this lack of foresight could reach last week. We cannot assess the martyrizing of our brother Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas Political Bureau Chief, in the Iranian capital city of Tehran separately from that scene of ovation. Those horrible scenes have not only torn the Palestinian people apart, but what is worse, have spoilt Netanyahu. While the whole world was expecting Israel to be convinced for ceasefire, the result turned out to be the martyrizing of the negotiator as a result of a despicable assassination.”

“GAZA HAS SHOWN US THE UNJUSTNESS AND HYPOCRISY OF THE GLOBAL SYSTEM”

President Erdoğan continued as follows: “Gaza has shown us not only the unjustness of the global system, but also its hypocrisy. Everything has and is occurring right before our eyes. Journalists have been massacred, but international media outlets have remained silent. Women, children, infants have been killed. No objection has been raised from those, who have been preaching human rights and freedoms. Those, who camped out in Istanbul and made round-the-clock live broadcast during the Gezi incidents, have been playing ostrich regarding Gaza for 10 months. Those, who fussed around to help city bandits during the ditch terror, have yet to move a muscle for the oppressed people in Gaza for 10 months.”

Drawing attention to the censors social media companies impose to mute the Palestinian people and hide Israel’s atrocity, President Erdoğan said: “We are faced with a digital fascism that cannot even tolerate even the photographs of the Palestinian martyrs and immediately bans them, and markets this as freedom.”
