The premiere of the documentary "The Cries of Diyarbakır Mothers," prepared by our Directorate in collaboration with TRT, was held in the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Communications.
The true nature of the terrorist organisation PKK and its cooperation with its political supporters were portrayed at the premiere, along with the experiences of the mothers waiting to reunite with their children deceived and abducted by the PKK and the children who were eventually reunited with their mothers.
Produced by Muhammed Ali Çavuşoğlu and directed by Muhammed Erkam Bülbül, the documentary was filmed in the mountains surrounding the terror-free Fis Plain, in the countryside of Lice and the city of Diyarbakır.
The documentary, expert interviews of which were filmed at the Presidential National Library and Rami Library, featured remarks of mothers who awaited their children holding their photographs, fathers who sat by their sides to keep watch for their children, and children who survived the terrorist organisation and were reunited with their mothers.
Afterwards, the participants toured the Anadolu Agency's exhibition "The Moment Time Stopped," which told the story of Diyarbakır Mothers' watch and their wait for their children.
The screening was attended by the Presidency's Deputy Director of Communications Evren Başar, the General Manager of Press Advertisement Institution Cavit Erkılınç, the Deputy Director General of AA Oğuz Enis Peru, Diyarbakır Mothers, and numerous other guests.
