The book "Shining Star of the 21st Century: Organisation of Turkic States" was prepared exclusively for the 10th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organisation of Turkic States, which was held by our Directorate in Astana, Kazakhstan's capital.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan wrote the introduction to the book, which presents Türkiye's relations with the member states of the Organisation of Turkic States, which have been riveted by ties of friendship and brotherhood from past to present, in many fields ranging from economy to culture, transportation to energy, health to education, media to science and technology.
The book "The Shining Star of the 21st Century" which describes the history and organisational structure of the Organisation of Turkic States as well as the cooperation between Türkiye and other Turkic Republics, also includes the humanitarian solidarity demonstrated by Turkic states and peoples during the pandemic, the Second Karabakh War and the Disaster of the Century, the Earthquakes on February 6.
The book, which is a reference publication on the Organisation of Turkic States and Türkiye's relations with the member countries of the organisation, consists of three sections titled "The Organisation of Turkic States as an Organisation," "Common Past, Strong Future - Areas of Cooperation" and "All Together in Difficult Times".
"I sincerely believe that we will be stronger together with the Turkic states in the Century of Türkiye"
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said in the book's introduction that relations and areas of cooperation with the Turkic peoples and states—who have the same roots, pasts, and cultures and are united in both sorrow and joy—continue to grow and strengthen every day.
Pointing out that the Organisation of Turkic States is one of the most significant structures that have a great share in strengthening the ties between Turkic states and increasing partnerships and solidarity among Turkic peoples, President Erdoğan noted that this structure, based on political, humanitarian, and economic relations, is gradually strengthening and that cooperation to increase the historical ties and sympathy between Turkic peoples is increasing day by day.
In this regard, President Erdoğan stated that, as the Organisation of Turkic States, they take a common stance on international and regional problems, produce solutions to common problems, and fight together against terrorism, anti-Turkic sentiments, and animosity towards Islam.
President Erdoğan stated that as member states of the Organisation, where political and strategic cooperation is increasing day by day, they are carrying out activities to increase this cooperation in many fields, from economy to politics, culture to tourism, education to sports, and added:
"Far beyond all these partnerships, we are united in sorrow and joy with the Turkic world, with which we have built a great bridge of hearts.
The rapid response of the member countries of the Organisation to our call for help after the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes, which we called the Disaster of the Century, on February 6, 2023, showed once again how united we are in joy and sorrow. Our compatriots, who supported us through many means throughout this major earthquake disaster, from search and rescue to health and accommodation, made a valuable effort to meet the needs of our citizens in the earthquake zone. The solidarity demonstrated in these difficult days of Türkiye has once again proven the truth of the late Kazakh writer and thinker Mustafa Çokay's words: "Every Turk has two homelands. The first one is the country of birth. The second one is Türkiye."
For these reasons, I am fully confident that our organisation, which has been working with all its might with a discipline based on interstate cooperation in the 14 years since its establishment, will take one step further every year. As Turkic states, one of our most important goals is to deepen our historical and cultural ties, expand our political, economic, and social relations further, and increase our partnerships.
For the Turkic world will be safe if we are powerful, and the more powerfully we would fight against terrorism, anti-Turkic sentiments, and animosity towards Islam if we are united, and the voice of all oppressed regions will be heard louder in the world.”
President Erdoğan pointed out that the inclusion of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus as an observer member in the Organisation of Turkic States, with the consent of the member states, was a significant indicator that they would be the voice of all Turks and humanity in the future, and said, "I wholeheartedly believe that we will be stronger together in the Century of Türkiye with the Turkic states with whom we share a great common past and history and that we will walk towards the future with firm and confident steps."
I hope that our unity, solidarity, and brotherhood as Turkic states will be perpetual."
