President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in New York for the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, received Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan at the Turkish House.
The meeting addressed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Pakistan as well as regional and global issues.
President Erdoğan stated that they will continue to take mutual steps to develop relations between Türkiye and Pakistan in many areas, particularly the defense industry and economy.
Noting that it is important to enhance the efforts exerted in order to stop the Israeli attacks in Gaza, President Erdoğan remarked that Türkiye continues to increase its efforts to ensure a permanent ceasefire, to lead the way to peace, and to deliver urgent humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.
