President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with President Emmanuel Macron of France on the margins of the NATO Summit in Washington, D.C.
The meeting addresses bilateral relations between Türkiye and France, the Ukraine-Russia war, Israel's attacks on Palestine as well as regional and global issues.
Expressing the importance of enhancing relations between Türkiye and France in every field, President Erdoğan stated that revitalizing Türkiye's European Union membership process is necessary and that Türkiye is expected to be supported in this manner.
Stating that the encouragement of Israel by Western countries regarding the ceasefire will contribute to regional and global peace, President Erdoğan added that it would be beneficial for France to take concrete steps in this regard.
