Statement regarding allegations of Turkish UAV attack on Syrian village

The allegations published in some media outlets claiming that "a Turkish Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) carried out an attack during the night hours on a village in the north and east of Syria, resulting in the killing of a mother, father, and seven children" are unfounded.

The operations conducted by the Turkish Armed Forces within and beyond Türkiye’s borders in the framework of the fight against terrorism are directly aimed at terrorist organisations. These operations are meticulously planned with the utmost sensitivity to prevent harm to civilians. The primary objective of these operations is to neutralise terrorist elements, eliminate terrorist attacks targeting our citizens and security forces, and ensure the security of our borders.

In the planning and execution of its activities, the Turkish Armed Forces takes every necessary precaution to avoid harm to innocent people, friendly elements, historical and cultural assets, and the environment. Furthermore, every kind of support and assistance is provided to ensure that humanitarian aid efforts in the region continue safely and uninterruptedly.

Unfounded allegations aimed at manipulating international public opinion should not be given credit.
