Statement on Türkiye-Azerbaijan-Pakistan trilateral meeting

During the trilateral meeting of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif of Pakistan, regional and global issues and areas of cooperation between the countries were discussed.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a trilateral meeting with President Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Prime Minister Sharif of Pakistan as part of his visit to Astana for the 24th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. 

The trilateral meeting discussed regional and global issues, as well as potential areas for cooperation between the countries. 

During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan have the potential to take joint steps in a variety of areas that would be advantageous to all three countries. 

In a region marked by wars, conflicts, and tensions, President Erdoğan emphasised that any form of cooperation that is established would contribute to peace in the region and the world. 

Following the meeting, President Erdoğan attended the dinner hosted by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan at the Presidential Centre of the Republic of Kazakhstan in honour of the leaders who had attended the summit.
