The Presidential High Advisory Board convened under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at Çankaya Mansion.
Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun released a written statement on the High Advisory Board's meeting.
Presidency's Director of Administrative Affairs Metin Kıratlı, Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun and Chief of Cabinet to the President Hadan Doğan, as well as Board members İsmail Kahraman, Mehmet Ali Şahin, Köksal Toptan, Cemil Çiçek, Binali Yıldırım, Mustafa Şentop and İsmet Yılmaz attended the meeting.
Accordingly, the Board members discussed the February 6 earthquakes and the subsequent period, as well as political matters and economic issues on Türkiye's agenda, and all regional and global challenges faced by Türkiye.
Aside from deliberating on general issues of interest to the Turkish political institution, the meeting centred on the new constitution, with particular emphasis on the necessity for a libertarian, inclusive, civil, and democratic constitution.
The meeting, which examined Türkiye's resolutely implemented economic programme, emphasised the need of avoiding populist attitudes that could harm the country's economy, as well as the importance of maintaining diligent efforts to achieve the program's goals.
At the Board meeting, it was emphasised that the four-year period without elections ahead of Türkiye offers opportunities for politics, governance, foreign policy and other areas and that it is important to use this period effectively to achieve the goals of the Century of Türkiye.
The board members also shared their evaluations on the "Century of Türkiye Education Model" that will usher in a new era in education.
The meeting also evaluated the reconstruction and construction activities and the steps taken in the provinces affected by the disaster of the century.
At the meeting where many topics concerning Türkiye were discussed, members of the board expressed their opinions and suggestions.
During the meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan underscored the certainty that Türkiye will accomplish the objectives of the Century of Türkiye through the implementation of the most effective measures in foreign policy and other domains. Furthermore, he predicted that the favourable outcomes of the economic program would become apparent in the latter part of 2024, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
