President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan in Tashkent, where he was attending the 16th Economic Cooperation Organisation Summit.
As well as current regional and international issues, the meeting encompassed deliberations on the measures required to enhance bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, the Israeli assaults on Gaza and endeavours to provide humanitarian relief to civilians.
At the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that the world should raise its voice even louder to end the Israeli occupation of Gaza and that effective steps should be taken to stop Israel.
President Erdoğan expressed his satisfaction with the increasing trade volume between Türkiye and Uzbekistan every year and emphasised the significance of fostering new projects in industrial cooperation, such as energy, mining, food, textiles, and other sectors.
