In the statement released after the NSC meeting held at the Presidential Complex under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, it was emphasised that the measures to eliminate all kinds of negative effects of the earthquake disaster on the peace and welfare of the citizens and the national power elements of the country were discussed.
The statement noted that at the meeting, the situation that arose following the February 6 earthquakes was evaluated, and the significance of quickly restoring normalcy to the region as soon as possible was highlighted, and added, "The measures to eliminate all kinds of negative effects of the earthquake disaster on the peace and welfare of the citizens and on the national power elements of the country were discussed."
The statement emphasised that the board was informed of the operations conducted with determination, perseverance, and success against all kinds of threats and dangers to national unity, solidarity, and survival, particularly the PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG, FETO and DAESH terrorist organisations, and noted:
"It was noted that the recent developments, particularly in Syria and Iraq, have once again been instrumental in understanding the true intention of the actors, who continue to provide the PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG with all kinds of means and capabilities, including helicopters, under the guise of combating the DEASH terrorist organisation. It was reminded to the actors who protect the outdated terrorist organisation, which has entered the process of collapse due to the casualties caused by our operations, as well as the increased escapes and decreased participation, that the Republic of Türkiye is determined to completely destroy the separatist terrorist organisation and all of its offshoots, regardless of the support they receive, and will not allow the formation of a terror corridor along its borders."
In the statement noting that the negative effects of the war between Russia and Ukraine, which has been going on for more than a year, on the stability of other countries in the region and the security in the Black Sea, were evaluated, it was highlighted that efforts would continue to establish lasting peace, maintain regional stability, and eliminate the effects of humanitarian crises.
