The Presidency’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, issued a statement regarding the forthcoming visit of Dame Cindy Kiro, Governor-General of New Zealand, to Türkiye on 20–26 April 2026.
In a message on his NSosyal account, Head of Communications Duran stated:
“Dame Cindy Kiro, Governor-General of New Zealand, will visit Türkiye on 20–26 April 2026 on the occasion of the 111th Anniversary of the Çanakkale Land Battles and the ANZAC Day Commemoration Ceremonies.
As part of the visit, a meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is scheduled for 21 April 2026.
During the meeting, steps to further advance relations between Türkiye and New Zealand, grounded in their historic friendship, will be addressed.”
